We are seeking an organized and proactive Automotive Operations Manager to oversee the daily administrative and operational functions that keep our shop running efficiently. This role serves as the backbone of our service department, supporting our Service Manager, technicians, customers, and vendors to ensure a seamless experience from appointment scheduling to repair completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate repair order estimates and service recommendations for the Service Manager
- Manage parts ordering, receiving, tracking, and returns
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely parts availability
- Answer incoming customer calls and assist with service inquiries
- Schedule and manage customer appointments
- Maintain workflow efficiency between the front office and shop production
- Review repair orders for accuracy and completeness
- Support inventory management and parts organization
- Maintain customer and vehicle records within shop management software
- Assist with process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Previous automotive repair shop or dealership experience preferred
- Strong understanding of automotive parts and repair processes
- Experience with estimating and shop management software is a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
